CURRICULUM-BASED SUPPORT GROUP (CBSG®) PROGRAM FACILITATOR TRAINING

Rainbow Days Training is the sole provider of Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program. Rainbow Days, Inc., founded in 1982, is the developer of the evidence-based Curriculum-Based Support Group (CBSG®) Program. The CBSG® Program is designed to increase resilience in children and youth who experience adversity, trauma and toxic stress through the development of healthy social, emotional and coping skills in a caring support group setting. Caring adults support them as they learn and apply the social, emotional and coping skills needed to make healthy, responsible decisions including positive behaviors, academic success and a non-use attitude regarding alcohol and other drugs.

The CBSG® Program is effective for both Selective and Indicated populations and works well in multiple settings including schools, juvenile justice settings, community organizations, transitional living settings, homeless & domestic violence settings, church and faith based organizations, recreation centers, after-school programs, apartment programs, summer camps, and many more. More than 22,000 have been trained as CBSG® Program Facilitators from 44 states as well as PeaceCorps Volunteers in Ecuador and school and community leaders in England.

Four Facilitator Manual Adaptations are available to meet the specific age and setting requirements. All group participant handouts and activities are available in English and Spanish on a USB.

Attendance at a one-day training is required to be a CBSG® Program Facilitator and receive one Facilitator Manual Adaptation. Additional adaptations may be purchased for $150. Trainings are offered in Dallas quarterly or an organization may contract with Rainbow Days Training for a site-based training at their location.
