Positive Alternatives (PAs) are activities which allow youth to master new skills, bond with their peers, school, and community, and give them an alternative option instead of using of using alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) requires prevention funded programs to provide PAs regularly. This training will give in-depth examples of activities that can be used, and will also provide time for participants to generate ideas for new activities.
